Sloviansk is a city in eastern Ukraine that has been experiencing a complex socio-psychological situation since 2014 due to its proximity to the frontline. Numerous military actions, war, and occupation of the territory, along with losses and injuries among the local population, have led to psychological problems for many people.
One particularly vulnerable group is people with disabilities and people with limited mobility, who have suffered the most losses and stress due to the war. These individuals require special psychological support to improve their mental health, overcome trauma, and find the inner strength for continued life.
As part of the project "Path to Integration: Humanitarian Aid in Ukraine," psychologists are actively providing psychological support to the civilian population, particularly those affected by military events. The psychologists work with the victims, offering them the opportunity to express their emotions, resolve inner conflicts, and find ways to restore their mental health.
An important aspect of the psychological support is conducting individual consultations and group sessions for the residents of Sloviansk, where specialists help people interact with their emotions, overcome trauma, and find inner strength for further life. The civilian population has the opportunity to receive the necessary psychological assistance, which helps them overcome trauma and build a new future in the frontline areas.
Therefore, providing psychological assistance to the population of the frontline areas of Sloviansk is a crucial aspect of restoring mental health and improving the quality of life for these people.
Psychological support for the population of the frontline areas of Sloviansk is provided under the "Path to Integration: Humanitarian Aid in Ukraine" project, in collaboration with partners SOLIDAR SUISSE and SOLIDAR SUISSE UKRAINE. The joint work of our organizations is aimed at supporting and developing psychological assistance for the city's residents, who have been affected by the military events and are in difficult psychological conditions.
