Online Meeting with Employers from Luhansk Region: Business Support Through Employment Service Programs"
Mykola Nadulichnyi, Head of the NGO “Luhansk Association of Organizations of People with Disabilities” (LAOOI), participated in an important online meeting with employers from the Luhansk region who, despite challenging circumstances, have managed to resume their operations in peaceful areas of Ukraine. The event, organized by the Luhansk Regional Employment Center, focused on compensation programs provided by the employment service to support and develop businesses during wartime.
Since the full-scale invasion, many businesses in Luhansk had to suspend their operations due to occupation or active combat zones. However, through relocation and recovery in safer regions, these businesses now have the opportunity to gradually resume work. State support during this critical time is essential for economic stability and job preservation.
During the meeting, various compensation programs for employers were presented, including partial wage compensation for employees, job retention incentives, and benefits for hiring internally displaced persons (IDPs) or people with disabilities. These programs aim to ease the burden on businesses as they adapt to new realities and foster further enterprise growth.
In his speech, Mykola Nadulichnyi emphasized the importance of collaboration between public organizations, state institutions, and employers in developing a unified strategy to support vulnerable groups, particularly people with disabilities, and facilitate their integration into the workforce.
Special attention was given to the employment of veterans returning from the front lines, who often face significant challenges reintegrating into civilian life. Nadulichnyi highlighted the need for vocational retraining programs for veterans, with employers being able to access special compensation programs to create jobs for them.
The discussion also underscored the importance of creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities, who can become valuable employees if workplaces are adapted to their needs. Such initiatives are not only beneficial for individuals but also make a substantial contribution to stabilizing the country’s economic situation.
The meeting served as a crucial platform for discussing strategies that enable businesses not only to survive during wartime but also to contribute to Ukraine’s economic growth. Participants explored opportunities for business expansion, attracting investments, and fostering cross-sector cooperation.
The online format allowed for broad participation from various regions, with Luhansk employers receiving valuable advice and recommendations from employment service experts. This initiative raises business awareness about state support programs and encourages closer cooperation with government agencies to improve working conditions.
The online meeting with Luhansk employers demonstrated that, despite difficult circumstances, Ukrainian businesses are ready to rebuild and grow. Employment service compensation programs are vital tools for ensuring stability and creating new jobs.
The participation of Mykola Nadulichnyi and other public organization representatives highlights that joint efforts by the state, business, and civil society will pave the way for a resilient future for all Ukrainians.
