We are starting 2026 with concrete actions that will truly change people's lives.

Work is continuing in Kharkiv to improve living conditions for people with disabilities. Where until recently there were dilapidated roofs, inaccessible bathrooms, and dangerous entrances and staircases, today there are renovated premises, adapted sanitary areas, and convenient ramps.

This is not about cosmetic repairs.

It is about the ability to move independently, use housing safely, and not be locked in one's own home — even in a frontline city.

For people with disabilities, such changes mean stability, dignity, and basic independence in everyday life.

LAOPD sincerely thanks our partners — Solidar Suisse and Swiss Solidarity — for their support, trust, and consistent cooperation. It is thanks to you that these changes have become a reality: concrete, tangible, and important for those who need help the most.

We are convinced that even in times of war, investing in accessibility and decent living conditions is an investment in humanity, sustainability and the future.

Thank you for your partnership and collaboration.
